Riverview Improvement Association
Annual Stockholder’s Meeting
Dec. 9, 2018 – called to order 6:21pm

Minutes Reported by Kathy Eisemann, Secretary

In attendance: Kevin E., Ron A., Bill S., Linda H., Stephanie V., Kathy E., Dana M., Catherine M., David W., Stephen W., Tricia A., George S.

2017 Stockholder’s Meeting Minutes were reviewed and approved.

Old Business: Discussion on existing flagpole at Lippitt Park. It was noted that the flag is shredded now. A decision was made to order a new flag; Catherine also said she would donate one.
Treasurer’s Report: $900 taken in; $3000 spent (mostly landscaping). Approximate expenditures for 2019 will be $3000-$3500. Through September 2018 our investments did well -$X.XX. Will continue to invoice for dues. Discussion was brought up about possibly doing Lippitt Park over to use up some of the RVIA monies. It was noted that most years we are spending more than we take in; therefore, money will slowly dwindle. Cap should be at $10,500 per year.

New Business: Stephanie announced that she would be stepping down as Vice President due to her schedule; she will serve as an alternate board member.

Election of Officers: No changes, except the vacancy for VP.
Current Slate: President: Kevin Eisemann, Vice President: vacancy, Treasurer: Tricia Amirault, Secretary: Kathy Eisemann, Corresponding Secretary: Frank Ferri (Frank was not in attendance but was contacted at a later date and agreed to continue as corresponding secretary).

Board Members: Bill Sears, Linda Hagstrom, Nick Pappas, Stephanie VanPatten

New Stockholders: After discussion, it was decided that we will reach out to Laura Napolitano and The Drywa Family.

Went over all dates – event dates, quarterly meeting dates, stockholders meeting date. The Association thanked Bill Sears for allowing us to put the new message board on the corner of his lot. The Association will maintain the area around the sign. Discussion about vacant lots; it was asked if the association can regulate or limit building on empty lots (form a committee to do so) – we cannot per city zoning. Ideas brought up if we should form a Welcome Committee. Noted that we need to recruit more volunteers for help with events. Would also like new faces. RVIA will sign papers for any youth willing to do service projects in our area.
