Quarterly Meeting
Feb. 11, 2019

Meeting called to order at 7:04pm

In attendance: Kevin E, Kathy E, Terry S, Karen C, Nancy S, George S, Ed L, Bill S, John B, Ron A, Barbara R, Officer Maggiacomo

November 2018 meeting minutes approved.

Warwick Police Officers Report:
Noted Woodbury Church fire, reports of drunks in progress, domestic disturbance, construction trailer broken into but nothing taken, street light out at Cady/Wentworth, speeding on Tidewater, reports of open burning

The officer noted that houses are to be built on corner of Tidewater/West Shore in the future
Officer warned that people be extremely cautious when approaching someone who may have taken fentanyl

Officer reminded people to always keep doors locked

Councilman’s Report:
City’s LED lighting project now moving forward –this will alleviate red caps; lengthy discussion about school dept. and that funding lawsuit was withdrawn with prejudice; Sewers –archeological work done, blueprints done, still at $25,000 per house/dwelling –but road repaving is still 20% of this amount and Ed is still fighting this; noted that former Councilman Carlo Pisatauro is a new sewer board member
 
Treasurers Report (not present): No report

Old Business:
adult social –still looking for hosts for our annual fundraiser
discussed results of the Christmas Lights Contest

Discussed need to get more people interested, participating, volunteering

New Business:

next event is Easter Egg Hunt –scheduled for April 20, 10am, Lippitt Park –need volunteers to help set up before, during, and after the event and help supervising during the event
George S. proposing new neighborhood sign at corner of Tidewater/West Shore
Block Party 2019 –George & Stephanie have offered to host this year –date to be determined (late Summer/early Fall)
Planning a special “event planning” meeting within the next month
