Review of 2018 Stockholder’s Meeting Minutes: Sandra asked for clarification of the status of the nominations for stockholders for last year –there was a clerical error -discussion was postponed to later in the meeting. Stephanie noted typographical error to be corrected. 2018 Minutes approved.

Old Business: Association still has vacancy for Vice President.
Went over events that were held throughout the year – Adult Night Out/Fundraiser at Gambardella’s, Block Party at Shuster’s, 4th Of July Parade, Beach Cleanup, Christmas Lights Contest. The Easter Egg Hunt & Halloween parade were both cancelled due to weather. Separate “Events (committee) Meeting” was not much success, not much turn out. Donations were made to Save The Bay, St. Mark’s Church, Woodbury Union Church and Warwick Boys & Girls Club Quarterly meetings have been held at EBC House –working out well, will continue.

Treasurer’s Report: Investments are doing well, currently a strong market. $X.XX total. It was noted that the way monies were invested years ago on advice from Gambardella has helped this account significantly. $1475 taken in; $3800 spent (mostly landscaping). Went over other expenses. Noted that dues have doubled – invoicing is definitely helping to bring in dues. Will do invoices again soon. Will send flyer in envelope with invoices. Treasurer’s Report Accepted.

Election of Officers: Not an election year; however, Vice President seat is still vacant.
Current slate: President: Kevin Eisemann
Vice President: vacant
Treasurer: Tricia Amirault
Recording Secretary: Kathy Eisemann
Corresponding Secretary: Frank Ferri

Board of Directors: Bill Sears, Linda Hagstrom, Nick Pappas, Stephanie Van Patten

Nominations for new Stockholders: Revisited the nominations from last year, as the paperwork was never completed – Cabrals, Napolitano. Other nominations from the floor were The Bradleys and The Hjerpes. These four nominations were approved. New Stockholder Invitation Letters will be sent out.

New Business: -Discussed charitable donations planned for 2020. Suggestions were: continued support of the Halloween Spooktacular event w/Woodbury Union Church & CVA; Elizabeth Buffum Chase House, St. Mark’s Church Food Pantry, and a Providence school in need of donations (Sandra to supply additional information). Suggested $100 for each. All four suggestions were approved -to be distributed quarterly in 2020.

Discussion for new fundraising ideas – suggestions were “euro” stickers/magnets for cars, t-shirts, hats, mugs. Suggestions will be explored further and brought up at next quarterly meeting. -Kathy to create flyer/newsletter with event dates and outreach information also included – to be mailed with invoices.
Bricks will be available again for purchase –several neighbors have inquired. Forms will be available.
Kevin thanked Tricia and Ron for their work as treasurers, Stephanie & George for hosting the block party in 2019, and the Gambardellas for hosting the Adult-Nite-Out Fundraiser in 2019.

There was significant damage to Lippitt Park in November from a vehicular accident. There were questions from the floor as to why the City has not yet repaired this – we were told by the City that this is not a priority. It was asked if RVIA can do the repairs – after discussion, it was decided that RVIA will not do any repairs due to liability –will wait for City to do the repairs. It was suggested that RVIA members and residents send emails to the Councilman so they can be brought to the City. -It was noted that the dog waste bag dispenser was out of bags ,needs to be re-filled. -We have a new community police officer as of November 2019 – Officer James Wenneman.

Went over all dates – event dates, quarterly meeting dates, stockholders meeting date.
