Officers Report:

Overall slow over the last couple months.  Speeding on Tidewater still a constant issue, plan to step up patrols in coming months. It was noted there is new officer in charge of the Traffic Unit.
Because of Covid restrictions/previous lockdown -more non-residents have discovered our neighborhood beaches here.  Police expect to be twice as busy in the coming months this summer –Wenneman and Jandreau are the only two Community Officers now –will be getting help from Patrol Officers in the coming summer months.  Officers Wenneman and Jandreau will be out on their bikes more often.  Officers noted they do intend to enforce no parking and no swimming rules where applicable in the upcoming months.  Also noted the Maritime Unit will be out enforcing rules as well.
Police sub-station repairs in Conimicut are 85% done, ok to go inside.
Officers reiterated that any concerns or issues must be called in for the police to be able to help.

Treasurers Report:
Our mailing with invoices was successful; few new memberships have come in as well.  Only expenses over past months have been for landscaping.

State Representative’s Report: (not in attendance)

Councilman’s Report:
Councilman Ladouceursaid sewers continue to be the biggest thing on his agenda –sewers need to be done and he is continuing the fight for lower costs for residents.  Costs continue to go up year after year -Ed said he has been working with the Mayor to get costs down.  Ed identified there are 900 homes in Bayside I, II, III.  Mayor Picozzi noted that he hired a new director and new board members and that he is committed to getting costs lower. He indicated that he would prefer not to do the directional drilling that was planned and is exploring new alternatives.
