This Update is a communication between WSA Director BettyAnne Rogers and Councilman Ed Ladouceur on June 13 & 14, 2022:

June 13:

Last week D’ Ambra and Hemlock began installing 6″ PVC mainline pressure sewer pipe via direction drilling on Tidewater Drive. Approximately 492 linear feet of pipe was installed last week.

Work resumed today with installation proceeding from Payton to Park.

I will speak with Mat Solitro in the morning with regard to the work schedule this week and how many linear feet are anticipated to be completed by week’s end. Thus far I’ve heard nothing but great reviews from Mat concerning the expertise of the directional drilling company. I’m sure Mat will share some information with you that would be helpful and noteworthy to discuss with your constituents. We’ll get back to you tomorrow, so you’ll be prepared for Wednesday (RVIA Neighborhood Meeting, June 15, 2022).

June 14:

Via Joseph Asciola, Resident Engineer

Sewer construction will continue on Tidewater Drive for the remainder of the week. Crews will be drilling and installing pipe from the vicinity of Park Ave., heading northerly towards Mill Cove Bridge. There have been two police details per day.

There have been minimal concerns from the residents. Associate Engineer, Kevin Cabral (GM2/GRA), continues to canvas the Bayside community to review and obtain signatures for the sewer agreement (access agreement for directional drilling onto a private property).

Joseph also indicated that you and Jay Waller from PAL (Public Archaeology Laboratory, Pawtucket, RI) visited the project today. I hope you enjoyed seeing the directional drilling operation and everything was to you satisfaction. It’s very interesting!

— END —

Note: You can make an appointment with Kevin Cabral, Associate Engineer, to visit your property by calling him directly at:
(401) 862-5049.
Please call him between 7:00 am – 3:00 pm.

Kevin will come to your property to discuss your lateral sewer pipe & best grinder pump location (whether or not you plan to hook up now or in the future). Plan ahead! It will save you money and headaches later even if your current septic system is compliant with DEM for another 20 years. Kevin is very helpful & a nice guy!

That’s the current update everyone!

Thanks for checking it out,
David Woisard
