These are a variety of postcards that were printed circa 1900 capturing a view of what is was like by the beach, in Mill Cove and around the neighborhood.

If you have any additional images, please share them with RVIA via website-admin@myrvia.org. Thank you!
Please email images in as high a resolution (large image file size) as is possible. JPG or PNG file formats are great. If you have an actual photo or postcard, let me know as I can scan for posting and it and return it to you.

A special thank you goes out to Steve Williams, George Shuster & David Woisard for sharing their personal images and postcards of the area with RVIA. A few new postcards have been provided by Steve Mason and we thank him also for those!

It’s fun & interesting to check these out to see how the neighborhood has either changed or stayed the same. The Hurricane of 1938 and Hurricane Carol changed the shoreline and washed away part of the neighborhood coastline & homes. (I am investigating more info on the Trolley system, and I’ll post a Route Map and additional photos in the near future as a separate post.)
