Despite a sketchy forecast for October 23, 2022, the RVIA Halloween Choo-Choo Express was enjoyed by many. We shifted the start time a little bit earlier to avoid showers expected by 3:00 PM. Tents were up, and Motorman Chuck was ready to start the “Loco Rides” around the neighborhood before Noon.

Thank you to all of you who helped set up the Park. We had pumpkins of various sizes that were given away to enjoy at home. Candy bags for the kids (and us with sweet teeth!), dog treat bags, and special adult “Nip-or-Treat” bags that combined nicely with the hot cider and fresh cider donuts. Perfect for the Fall! And the tents came in handy at around 2:45 when the showers showed up. We kept dry and fired up the microwave to heat up another cup of local cider. It was a fun morning/early afternoon!

A special “Thank You!” goes out to Chuck for providing his American Legion amazing locomotive vehicle. A super fun way to ride around the neighborhood – Almost like back in the 1890s – 1930s when the Trolley came thru and stopped right here at Riverview Station.

We’re hoping to do this again in October 2023.
