Reported to WSA – D’Ambra (Sewer Contractor) Update:

This week we are only mobilizing the operations to Tidewater Drive. We are not planning on doing any excavation or directional drilling this week. We will be concentrating on the directional drilling area between Longmeadow Ave. and Arlington Ave. We will be moving the equipment and trench boxes along with road plates to the work site. Set up traffic controls etc. Once the fusing machine arrives, we will start to fuse the sections of pipe together. (This has started. You’ll see them working along the side of Tidewater Drive) We will measure between pits and fuse enough sections of pipe to reach from pit to pit, which is usually intersection to intersection.

The excavation for the pits will commence next week starting June 6th and the Directional Drilling on June 7th.We will excavate pits at Arlington Ave. and Samuel Gorton Ave. The driller will be drilling from Samuel Gorton to Arlington while we excavate the next pit at Park Ave for him. When he completes the run from Samuel Gorton to Arlington he will then move to Park and drill to Samuel Gorton. When that is completed, he will then go to the side streets that require directional drilling and install around 120 linear feet to the Tidewater Intersection ending in that pit. We would install a stub on any open cut intersection on Tidewater completing all the pipes at each intersection.
