Grinder Pumps -Pressure Sewer Systems PDF  | Print |  E-mail

July 21, 2015

Hi All,

Thought you could forward this article to the WSA and our members in RVIA…. This is a good article as it explains the differences between cost in maintaining the grinder pumps individually vs. town etc. The neighbors have no idea how much maintenance/cost is involved with these and should be informed.

"Ownership of pressure sewer systems,
a tale of two towns

Like I stated before, there needs to be a tier system – one charge for customers who have gravity systems (no maint. Cost involved) and the individual pumps…

Thank you,

Response from Ed Ladouceur:

July 28, 2015

Hi All,
I believe that the cost of the grinder pump should part of the infrastructure and therefore the cost to install as well as the maintenance of this pump should not be born by the individual that has the misfortune of not being on the high end of the gravity system. The cost for these pumps as well as the maintenance should be paid for by all the users of the system. I will continue to fight to correct several other inequities that exist with the costs of the WSA. I am committed to fixing this problem.

Thank you for reaching out to me.
