DATE CHANGE! This is an organized cleanup of the storm related debris in Lippitt Park and the Narragansett Bay ends of our neighborhood streets – Mill Cove Road, Whipple, Cady & River Vue Ave. Pick your fav! Help out at the end of your own street and shift to another if you’re done (that’s my plan).
People will be split up into separate areas if enough volunteer for this effort.
Please bring your own rakes & gloves. Be aware of sharp objects. RVIA will provide yard bags for natural debris and garbage bags for junk.
RVIA will provide some treats like coffee, pastries & something healthier (???).
We’ll also have a jug of water with compostable cups. An RVIA goal is to stay clear of using plastic bottles (single-use plastic beverage bottles) at this and future RVIA events.
When:
March 26th.
10:00 AM – 12:30 +/- PM
Sunny looks good / 50 F. If Saturday’s rain hangs around, just try to get out there sometime and rake, pickup, etc.
Come for as long as your busy schedule will permit. Any & all help is appreciated. It’s your neighborhood and pitching in is a good way to get involved.
Feel free to get there sooner if weather permits and you’re up for some fresh air.
Hopefully Winter doesn’t go out as a “Lion” at the end of the month and freeze everything solid! Or it could be in the 60s again?
It would be great to get this done before new growth & grasses start to flourish in the areas.
Thank you!
