Dear neighbors,

Riverview's annual 2017 Halloween parade & hayride has been canceled.

Unfortunately, the Farm that has done our hayride for many years has notified us that, sadly, they will no longer be doing "on-site" hayrides due to liability issues and we have been unsuccessful in finding another farm to come to us...

For those of you interested in our annual event, we do have some good news - we have been invited to join in with the Conimicut Village Association for an event that their association helps to coordinate! Please click here for the Conimicut Spook-Tacular flyer for more information.

*Please note that Riverview Improvement Association has agreed to help out with this event and volunteers will be needed to make this happen.
Examples of volunteer activities needed include but are not limited to:
-pumpkin carving -we need freshly carved pumpkins for display for the event (see flyer for drop off time and location)
-help with clean up of the area the event will be held (to be done that morning)
-help with set up for different activities that are planned for the event (to be done that afternoon)
-help during the event (supervision & help with games & activities, etc)
-clean up after the event
-and more

Update, 7/10/17:

For those who purchased a Memorial Brick - they are in and were installed on Monday, July 10th and they look great!!
Take a look the next time you're down at the park.

From RVIA's President, 2/20/17:

We've had quite a few requests lately for Memorial Bricks at Lippitt Park.
We have decided to place another order (as there is a minimum quantity each time we order).
A brick can memorialize a loved one, or commemorate a special date or event, or be just a family name, etc...
Each brick (including engraving) costs $32.00 and will contain 3 lines, with 14 characters per line.

The deadline to get your order in will be May 1, 2017.

The RVIA Easter Egg Hunt held on April 15, 2017 had a great turn out! Lots of eggs were collected and fun was had by all the kids and their parents that attended.  Below is a group photo of many who attended.  More photo are posted in the Gallery.

Congrats to Paul Drywa on Mill Cove Road!

Paul's light show has been selected as the winner of the first annual Riverview Neighborhood Christmas Lights Decorating Contest.

Paul Drywa wins the 1st Annual RVIA Christmas Decorating Contest

"Thanks to all that participated tonight in our Neighborhood Caroling and First Annual Christmas Lights Contest!
Judging was done by the Carolers tonight (December 21, 2016) and the first place winner is Paul on Mill Cove!
Special thanks to Pat & Charlie for inviting us in for some treats and drinks and to warm up a bit!
We have decided that the 2nd place prize will be awarded to ALL the other entries.
The 2nd place prize is a one year membership to the Riverview Improvement Association! Congratulations all!! and thanks again for your participation."
