Dear Blueberry Customers,

I apologize for intruding with a non-blueberry message, but I know that many of you, like me, have been concerned about the fate of Rocky Point since the amusement park closed many years ago.  As you know, Rocky Point is just down the road from our farm.  Now we have a chance to make our voices heard in favor of preserving the entire property as publicly accessible open space.

The whole story is spelled out in the website http://www.rockypointfoundation.org.

If you go there, you can sign up as a Friend of Rocky Point.  You can also, if you wish, make a small donation to help the state and city acquire the part of the property which is at risk of intensive development.

The Foundation will use the list of Friends and donors to demonstrate to political leaders, foundations and potential large private donors that many Rhode Islanders from all over the state, as well as Rhode Islanders who now live elsewhere, value the historical heritage and scenic value of Rocky Point and want it forever open and accessible to the public.

If you want to help, here again is the link:
