• May 12th, 7:00 pm: Neighborhood Meeting, 76 Lippitt Ave. (Gaffney's Garage - Side entrance on Wentworth Ave.)
  Topics to be announced. Maybe we'll have news about the Block Grant projects.


• May 22nd: Annual Neighborhood YARD SALE - Saturday
  NOTE: Sale to run from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm. No Early Birds Please! (Rain Date is Sunday, May 23. Same time period)
  RVIA will advertise the Yard Sale in the Warwick Beacon and also on Craig's List


• "Independence Day - Annual Parade & Cookout"
  Postponed/Cancelled - Lack of neighborhood interest or too many personal schedule conflicts.
  Parade meets at (TBD) at the corner of Cady & Wentworth. Please decorate your bikes, cars, boats,
  wagons, whatever and join in the fun. Invite your family and friends to walk or line the route!
  Looking for donations of drinks & desserts. Call Frank Ferri at 737-5113 to let him know. Thanks!
  We will end the parade with a Pledge of Allegiance at the Flag Pole on Lippitt Park.
  Start building your floats and celebrate 4th of July a little early!


• July 10th: Beach Cleanup with Save the Bay (Cady Park also to be cleaned up), 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
  Saturday - Starts at 11:00 AM . Meet at Cady Park. Additional details to be announced in the future.
  Beach cleanup is scheduled to take place when Low Tide schedule exposes beach and also when Save the Bay can be scheduled to assist. July Tides: CLICK HERE to check low tide times.
  


• August 3rd: National Night Out 2010 "America's Night Out Against Crime", Oakland Beach
  Events runs from about 5:30 to 9:30 pm depending on whether fireworks top off the evening.
  RVIA is planning on having a table at the event. Volunteers needed to help with this. Come enjoy the activities, and spend some time at the RVIA table. Information on our association will be handed out and discussed with people attending. Visit: National Night Out 2010 for more information about the roots of this event.

• September 12th: Annual RVIA Block Party
  Location: Cady Park (at the end of Lippitt Ave.)
  Time: 1 - 4 PM
  Theme: This year is POT LUCK. RVIA will supply hamburgers & hot dogs.
  
  Special addition: RVIA is renting The Inside Scoop's Mobile Ice Cream Cart for the afternoon. We will have 4 flavors of their homemade style ice cream, and maybe hot fudge and jimmies too!
  
  Food and drink contributions are needed this year. Please contact the Association if you can bring something to compliment the Pot Luck.

• September 19th: Buckeye Brook Coalition Fall 2010 Fundraiser
  Location: 15 River Vue Avenue
  Time: 4 - 6 PM
  
  Please join the Buckeye Brook Coalition and help raise funds to protect and preserve your local watershed.  Come enjoy burgers, hot dogs, soft drinks, desserts & music at the home of Mr. & Mrs. George W. Shuster, Jr. on the south bank of Mill Cove.  $10 for BBC members / $15 for non-BBC members Free for children under 12.

• October 31st: Halloween Parade & Party
  The horses have been booked! Hayride to take place after the costume parade.


• November 20th: FOOD DRIVE
  Leave food items at your front porch for collection or contact the association for special arrangements.


• December 17th: Holiday Caroling through the Neighborhood
  Stops will be made along the way to share good cheer & treats. Host homes TBD.
