Donations and Volunteers Needed for Flood Recovery Effort:

Rhode Island residents affected by recent severe storms and flooding need assistance. The State of Rhode Island, in partnership with the United Way of Rhode Island and the Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency, has established a donations management website to assist in connecting people who wish to donate money, goods, and services with responding agencies. These non profit organizations are tasked with assisting residents in short and long term recovery efforts. The public is urged to go to http://www.floodrecovery.ri.gov/donatevolunteer/ and follow the "Donate/Volunteer" link for specific donation information.

Rhode Island Cesspool Act of 2007:
If your home has a cesspool or you know someone else who does, it is particularly important for you to be familar with the January 2013 deadline approaching.
